The parish church Opponitz is at the northern end of the village in the municipality of Opponitz in the district of Amstetten in Lower Austria . The patronage of St. The Roman Catholic parish church subordinated to Kunigunde of Luxembourg belongs to the deanery Waidhofen an der Ybbs of the diocese of St. Pölten . history

The high altar was transferred here from the parish church Waidhofen an der Ybbs, the swinging column retable from 1750/1760 above a high base zone has a two-tier entablature and a four-armed volute canopy, the altar leaf St. Kunigunde painted August Bauer in 1854, in the base there are four framed relief pictures with evangelists, the statues from 1750/1760 are the Trinity with adoring angels in the excerpt and the four church fathers.

The two side altars as a wall retable around 1760 with oblique columns and large volute extract show pictures by Martin Johann Schmidt 1762, left Martyrdom of St. Sebastian, excerpt from St. Rochus and tabernacle image St. Johannes Nepomuk, on the right the instruction of Mary and St. John the Baptist. The side altars have statues, on the left St. Peter and Katharina around 1760, on the right St. Josef and Joachim from the third quarter of the 18th century.

The organ from 1870 as a parapet positive by Peter Hötzl in 1792 was extended by a single-manual baroque organ from the parish church of Neuhofen an der Ybbs . A bell calls 1507.
