history

The current church was built between 1681 and 1686 and consecrated in 1688. The church was renovated in the fourth quarter of the 18th century. From 1930 to 1932 the church was expanded to include two window axes to the west according to plans by the architect Karl Paulmichl . 1974/1975 was a restoration.

From 1689 Kuratiekirche, the church was elevated to a parish church in 1891.

architecture

The early Baroque hall church with a neo-Romanesque tower, which has been changed several times, is surrounded by a cemetery.

The nave and choir in the same width and the expansion of Paulmichl in 1932 are under a shared gable roof, and on the east side is a two-storey sacristy extension. The facades have corner squares in the plaster, and the windows (in the chancel, ogival) are framed by plaster cubes. The tower on the north side of the choir has two round-arched sound openings in the bell storey and triple windows above, the gables show blind arcades and step frieze. The pointed arched grooved west portal is probably from the 17th century.

The interior of the church shows itself as a four-bay nave with a two-bay choir with a three-eighth end over lance cap barrels on layered pilasters. The retracted triumphal arch with stucco ribbons on the sides mentions 1686. At the end walls of the choir there are turned columns with grapevines.

The ceiling paintings around 1790 with Archangel Michael and the representation of a local legend, Annunciation, Guardian Angel Raphael with Tobias, on the side the four evangelists, Peter and Paul, church fathers were attributed to the painter Johann Georg Witwer .

Furnishing

The high altar around 1790 shows the altar sheet Archangels Gabriel, Michael and Raphael from the 17th century and bears the statues Archangels Gabriel and Raphael on the side above the sacrificial portals and in the excerpt the carved group Holy Trinity around 1790. The tabernacle was created around 1790.

The crucifixion group with Mary and John was created in the second half of the 17th century. A clothed bust of the Madonna in a baroque showcase with carved decorations and putti was created in the third quarter of the 18th century. The station pictures are from the end of the 18th century. The pulpit from the late 19th century is richly carved.

War memorial

The war memorial from 1918 opposite the church has a carved relief by Karl Siber.
