history

On October 28, 1962 she was consecrated by the Lilienfeld abbot Friedrich Pfennigbauer to the patronage "Christ, Redeemer of the World". This took place on behalf of the St. Pölten diocesan bishop Franz Žak , who was then participating in the Second Vatican Council in Rome.

architecture

The massive looking church building with a nave divided by concrete supports has a retracted, flat arched closed choir. There are tall, narrow rectangular windows between the concrete supports. The high church tower tapers upwards and closes horizontally at the top. The eastern gable front has a wide rectangular portal flanked by rectangular ornamental glass windows, above the portal is a wide glass concrete round window Heart of Jesus .

The interior of the church shows the nave and the choir under an open gable roof, the choir is raised by five to seven steps. There is a baptistery under the east gallery.

Furnishing

Most of the furnishings are from the construction period. The altars and the glass window rosette designed and created the sculptor and glass painter Robert Herfert with the carpenter Franz Coufal. The glass painter Karl Knapp created the long side glass windows. The artist Harald Krainer created the ambo and tabernacle stele.

There is a late Gothic crucifix from the 16th century.

The organ was built by Gregor Hradetzky (1966).
