The parish church of Traun-Oedt is located in the district of Oedt in the municipality of Traun in Upper Austria . The Roman Catholic parish church Josef der Arbeiter belongs to the deanery of Traun in the diocese of Linz .

history

The village of Oedt initially belonged to the Hörsching parish church . On September 11, 1960 the rectory and rectory were consecrated. The parish hall was used as a worship room. A small bell tower with a bell was placed in front of the parish hall. After a construction period of 22 months, the new church was consecrated on October 14, 1989 with Bishop Maximilian Aichern according to the plans of the architects Gottfried Nobl and Othmar Kainz .

The stained glass of the church windows, the tabernacle image of Jesus on the cross and the furnishings of the baptistery were created by Professor Hans Planck from Braunau. The sculptor Peter Dimmel created the baptismal font .
