Gottfried Nobl

Gottfried Nobl (born October 1, 1923 in Ried im Traunkreis ; † June 5, 2017 in Linz ) was an Austrian architect and master builder .

Life

Gottfried Nobl studied from 1945 to 1950 at the Technical University of Vienna , where he was Lehmann's university assistant until 1954. In 1952 he received a Rome scholarship and worked for C. Dom. Rossi. In 1954 he settled in Linz as an architect and was also a consultant for construction matters in the Diocese of Linz . In 1959 he succeeded Matthäus Schlager as cathedral master builder in Linz. He held this position until his retirement in 2005. Nobl was a member of the artists' association MAERZ .
