Pfrontener mountain meadow queen

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Pfrontener mountain meadow queen is a figurehead of the municipality of Pfronten . The ninth Pfrontener mountain meadow queen is Kathi Goldstein "Kathi II", whose term of office lasts from July 2016 to July 2018. The product queen was first named Pfrontener Heukönigin in 1999 . In 2012 the original name Pfrontener Heukönigin was changed to Pfrontener Bergwiesenkönigin .

function

The Pfrontener Bergwiesenkönigin is usually re-elected every two years in summer and represents the site in public as a volunteer tourism ambassador at external events as well as on-site appointments. The mountain meadow queen appears non-partisan and neutral. As a sympathetic figure and image bearer, the mountain meadow queen particularly represents the community's profile as a place of hay .

The Pfrontener Mountain Meadow Queen represents a unique cultural landscape in the Allgäu Alps, which already fascinated the Bavarian fairy tale king Ludwig II and moved him to build the world-famous royal palaces. The preservation of the ecologically and aesthetically very valuable mountain meadows depends on extensive mountain agriculture. For some years now, mountain meadow hay has not only been used as fodder, but also as a raw material for hay care products and hay cosmetics, as well as hay wraps, hay fleece, hay stacks and in gastronomy (hay kitchen with e.g. ham wrapped in hay, hay liqueur, hay liquor).

The respective Pfrontener mountain meadow queen represents the region at the Green Week .

Satirical use

Thea Dorn and Sven Siedenberg satirized the Heukönigin alongside other brands or product queens of German provenance as a sign of a longing for monarchical representation such as provincial homeland flair, which has not yet subsided.
