The FC Phönix 06 Durmersheim eV is a German football club based in the Baden-Württemberg community of Durmersheim in the Rastatt district .

history

Today's association was founded in 1906. From the beginning to the end of the Second World War, nothing is known about the class affiliation.

post war period

After the end of the war, the first team came to the 1946/47 season in the district league where they could achieve second place. Only after two more seasons after which they also landed in second place finally succeeded in promotion to the district league after the 1948/49 season. From there, the championship title went straight up to the 2nd amateur league. The 1950/51 season ended the team in seventh place. This class could then always be held, after an 11th place in the 1960/61 season then surprisingly succeeded a season later the championship and even promotion to the 1st amateur league.

The team then finished the first season with 27:33 points in 11th place, but in the following two seasons they never got beyond a double-digit place in the table. Due to 19:41 points over the 16th place, the team had to relegate to the 2nd amateur league again after the 1964/65 season . Although the team managed to get promoted again for the 1966/67 season , in the same season had to be relegated as the penultimate with 23:37 points.

Time in the association and regional league

In the following years you could always keep the class but never celebrate the championship. This time could then be successfully ended after the 1978/79 season, in that the team was allowed to rise to the new league with the championship. The 1979/80 season the team was then able to finish in fifth place. However, you never really got far in this league and ninth place was the maximum in the period that followed. After the 1984/85 season it went down to 16th place in the national league. For the next season it went even further down into the district league. The 1987/88 season ended with the 12th place first the free fall.

Immediately after the next season, however, the championship succeeded again and the team returned to the national league. You could stay there until the 1998/99 season. After several double-digit places you had to relegate to 16th place in the district league after this season. There the team landed directly in 18th place and had to go down again, this time to the district league A. With second place, however, it went straight back to the district league. After the 2003/04 season, however, it went back down to the district league A.

Brief return to the national league and crash

In the district league A , the club should then stay until the 2010/11 season. In this then finally succeeded with the championship again promotion to the district league . In this division, the championship again succeeded in the 2014/15 season and the team thus returned to the national league . With a 14th and a 16th place after the 2016/17 season it was quickly over again and the club had to relegate to the district league again. With 16 points, we went there but also directly on over the 16th place down to the Kreisliga A . But here, too, the decline should not end. With 13 points, it went down again, this time in the District League B . After the 2019/20 season, which ended prematurely due to the COVID-19 pandemic , the club was then allowed to rise again to 6th place.
