The nature reserve Bickenalbtal is located in the Saarpfalz district in Saarland .

location

The area, which consists of eight sub-areas, extends northeast and southeast of Medelsheim , a district of the municipality of Gersheim . Most of the sub-areas are to the east of the L 101 national road . The state border with France runs south and east.

meaning

The 171 hectare area was placed under nature protection by ordinance of September 27, 2017 under the identification number NSG-N-6809-301 . In 2017, these nature reserves were integrated into the newly created nature reserve Bickenalbtal:

• Großbirkel-Hungerberg (14 ha)
• Juniper Mountain (0.6 ha)
• Schloßhübel (6 ha)
