The Close fraction is under nature conservation standing fracture and Natura 2000 -region in Saarpfalz district in Saarland .

The Closenbruch lies between Homburg and its Bruchhof-Sanddorf district and was named after the noble family of Closen . The area was declared a nature reserve on September 19, 1990 and expanded on November 13, 2015.

On the 81.5 hectare meadows, the Karlsbergbach flows into the Reichersbach , which in turn flows into the Erbach .

In Close fraction are mat-grass meadows and moist tall herb corridors . In the animal world there are red-backed kittens , the great fire butterfly and the dark blue ant .
