The Himsklamm is a nature reserve and Natura 2000 area in the Saarpfalz district in Saarland .

The Himsklamm is located in the Gersheim district of Niedergailbach near the German-French border in the Bliesgau biosphere reserve . The area was declared a nature reserve on November 12, 1987 and expanded on January 16, 2015.

Flora Fauna

On the 50.7 hectare site there are stepped slopes of the shell limestone near Wallringerbach , orchid-beech forest and dry lime grass . In the animal world, the find turncoat , red-backed shrike or the wood lark .
