Phalanx was a German thrash metal band from Herdecke that was founded in 1986 and dissolved in 1998.

history

The North Rhine-Westphalian band was founded in 1986. In 1991, a demo called Towards the Pearly Gates was released . It was sung in by a guest singer because the search for a suitable member had been in vain for a long time. The demo caught the attention of the label D&S Records , which finally released the debut album The Judas Touch . In 1998 the second album Look Behind the Mask was released by Treasure Hunt Records . On the album there is a cover version of Metallica's song Enter Sandman , which only bears the shortened name Sandman here . In the same year the band broke up.

style

The band played classic Thrash Metal, the use of changes in tempo and song structure is characteristic.
