Phalcon is a high-performance web framework for PHP , which is based on the Model-View-Controller architecture (MVC for short). It is under the BSD license and is therefore open source .
performance
In contrast to most other PHP frameworks , Phalcon is not written in the PHP scripting language itself, but in the C programming language and functions as a PHP extension . This has a positive effect on the execution speed and the use of resources, so that Phalcon can process more requests per second than conventional frameworks.
