The Phantom Point is a headland at the Loubet coast of Graham Lands on the Antarctic Peninsula . On the shores of Darbel Bay , it is 2.5 km west of Shanty Point and marks the entrance to Ensenada Aguayo to the south .
Aerial photos by Hunting Aerosurveys Ltd. from 1955 to 1957 were used by the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey (FIDS) for mapping. A sled team of the FIDS could only vaguely determine their position in 1957 due to thick fog, which is reflected in their naming.
