Phare des Baleineaux (German: 'Lighthouse of the whale calves') is the name of a lighthouse three kilometers from the Phare des Baleines in the Charente-Maritime department , northwest of the Île de Ré .
The lighthouse has been listed as a historic monument of France since April 15, 2011 . Originally planned at a height of 50 m, the elaborations had to be changed to 31 m due to the difficult working conditions.
