Phegeus (Aeneid)

Phegeus ( Greek  Φηγεύς ) is a figure in Roman mythology .

Phegeus, according to Virgil, was a Trojan who moved to Italy with Aeneas . Here he was thrown from the chariot and killed by the advancing Turnus , King of the Rutuls , in battle, although he had been a brave warrior and Turnus had dared to oppose it.
