Rutuler

This article refers to the Latin people, for the people of the Caucasus see rutules .

The Rutulians were a small Latin people on the coast of Latium , with the capital Ardea , whose king Turnus appears as an enemy in the journeys of Aeneas . The name disappears in the Roman royal era, as the area was the target of Roman expansion.

The Rutulians, like the Romans , worshiped Juno and Minerva as the highest deities .
