Phil Town
Phil Town (born September 21, 1948 ) is an American investor and author. He became famous for his international bestseller Rule # 1 , in which he describes his simple adaptation of the principles of value investing - based on Benjamin Graham and Warren Buffett . The book was # 1 on the New York Times bestseller list in April 2006 in the Paperbacks / Guides category.
In the United States, he often gives seminars and lectures on investment strategies to large audiences; its website mentions around 500,000 participants annually in the USA. Before becoming an active investor , he was a green beret and tourist guide, among other things .
