Philip Rousseau
Philip Rousseau (born October 3, 1939 ) is a British patristic .
Life
From 1959 to 1962 he obtained a degree in philosophy from Heythrop College in London, from 1962 to 1965 a BA in modern history from Oxford University (Campion Hall) and from 1968 to 1972 the DPhil at the Faculty of History in Oxford with Peter Brown . From 1972 to 1998 he was Lecturer / Senior Lecturer / Associate Professor of History at the University of Auckland and from 2001 to 2019 Andrew W. Mellon Distinguished Professor of Early Christian Studies at Catholic University of America .
