Philip Bechius
Philippus Bechius (* 1521 ; † September 3, 1560 in Basel ; also Philipp Bechius , Philipp Bächi and Philipp Beck ) was a Swiss doctor, classical philologist and university professor.
Life
Becchius was a professor of medicine and philosophy at the University of Basel. He died on September 3, 1560 in Basel and was buried in the local cathedral.
Works
Becchius translated various books into German , such as Agricola's De re metallica libri XII or Pachymeri's philosophy in 1557 .
