Philipp Brozel
Philipp Brozel ( 1868 in St. Petersburg , Russian Empire - December 23, 1927 in Twickenham , England ) was a Russian-English opera singer ( tenor ) and singing teacher .
Life
After discovering his beautiful voice, he went to London, where he was trained by Manuel Patricio Rodríguez García . After completing his vocal studies, he appeared in 1894 at the Coventgardentheater in London.
In 1900 he went on a tour of the USA. In 1902 he was committed to Bayreuth in order to prove himself to an international audience at the festival as “Steuermann” in “Holländer” and “Knappe” in “Parsifal”. In 1907 he sang at the Vienna State Opera . In 1908 he went back to England and worked as a singing teacher after 1910.
