Philipp Nötel
Philipp Nötel ( 1808 - July 23, 1884 ) was a German theater actor .
Life
Nötel was a member of the Darmstadt Court Theater from February 1, 1826 to 1880, i.e. more than 50 years, and was one of the institute's decorations. On his retirement he was made an honorary member of the stage.
The artist excelled mainly in the representation of loyal and mischievous servants. In Ernst Elias Niebergall's play Datterich , a Turkish opera , he played the role of Caliph Harun al-Raschid
His son Louis (1837-1889) was also a stage actor.
