Philipp Ferdinand Amandus Friedrich Nagel (born November 9, 1799 in Esslingen am Neckar , † April 2, 1870 ibid) was a German lawyer and politician . He was a member of the Württemberg Landtag (1851–1855).

Philipp Nagel was the son of the Esslingen camera administrator Johann Friedrich Nagel (* 1766) and the Philippine Johanna Magdalene Honold (* 1769), a daughter of Esslingen mayor Abraham Honold (* 1732). Philipp had three siblings.

Life

He studied law in Tübingen and Heidelberg . During his studies in 1819 he became a member of the Germania Tübingen fraternity . He was promoted to Dr. iur. doctorate and became a court actuary at the Neckarsulm Higher Regional Court . In 1826 he became a council clerk and from 1833 to 1865 was the city ​​keeper in Esslingen and from 1828 a member of the Esslingen city ​​council . For Esslingen he was also a member of the Württemberg state parliament from 1851 to 1855 .
