Philipp Schindler

Philipp Schindler (* 1971 in Gerresheim , a district of Düsseldorf ) is a German manager and board member at Google (Chief Business Officer (CBO)).

Schindler is responsible for 14,000 employees in 80 countries. His predecessor was Nikesh Arora, the third CBO in Google's history. Schindler also co-founded the June Fund technology fund.

After leaving school, he studied business administration at the European Business School in Oestrich-Winkel . At the age of 26 he joined the Bertelsmann trainee program . He later went to AOL and became the head of marketing there. He was instrumental in renaming the Hamburg Volksparkstadion to AOL Arena . In 2005 he switched to Google, where he became head of Germany, later head of Europe and VP of Global Sales and Operations.

Schindler has lived in the United States with his family (wife and three children) since 2012 .
