Philip of Ibelin (Constable of Cyprus)

Philip of Ibelin (* around 1235/40; † around 1304) from the House of Ibelin was constable of the Kingdom of Cyprus .

He was the second-born son of Baldwin of Ibelin († 1267), Seneschal of Cyprus, and Alice of Bethsan ( House of Béthune ).

In 1302 he was appointed constable of Cyprus.

With papal dispensation of August 13, 1253, he married Simone of Tiberias, daughter of Odo of Montbéliard († around 1247), constable of Jerusalem, and the Eschiva of Saint-Omer (1219-1265), princess of Galilee. He had nine children with her:
