Philippe Dupouy (* 1952 ) is a French amateur astronomer and asteroid explorer.

Together with his colleague Frédéric Maréchal, he discovered two asteroids in 1997 and 1998 .

Also in 1997, together with Michel Meunier , he discovered the hyperbolic comet C / 1997 J2 (Meunier-Dupouy) , which was the first to be discovered with the help of a remote-controlled telescope .

The asteroid (214485) Dupouy was named after him on August 6, 2009.
