Philippe Gustin (born March 24, 1960 ) is a French politician.

Life

Philippe Gustin worked as a teacher in Germany from 1980 to 1988. In 1991 he did his doctorate at the University of Franche-Comté with a dissertation on the family registers of the city of Landau . This was followed by employment in the branches of the Institut français in Budapest and Vienna. In 1999, Philippe Gustin attended the École nationale d'administration and joined the administration in 2001. From 2009 to 2012 he was Chief of Staff of Education Minister Luc Chatel . From 2012 to 2014 he was the French ambassador to Romania. He has been the senior civil servant in the Eure department since 2015 . In 2015 he was also appointed coordinator of the Union of French people in other European countries ( Union des Français de l'étranger , UFE).

In 2016 he became a candidate of the party "Les Républicains" for the 7th constituency of the French abroad (Germany, Austria and former Eastern European countries).
