Philippe Habert (writer)

Philippe Habert (* 1604 in Paris ; † July 26, 1637 in Houdeng-Aimeries , Hainaut ) was a French writer.

Together with his brother Germain and his cousin Henri Louis , he was one of the Trois Habert .

Habert was friends with one of the founding members of the Académie française , Valentin Conrart , and was commissioned by him to draw up the Academy's statutes. Habert became the first owner of Fauteuil 11 . In 1639 Jacques Esprit succeeded him in this place.

Habert died as a captain of the artillery at the age of 33 when an ammunition depot exploded in Aimeries and he was buried under the rubble.
