Philippe Oddo
Philippe Oddo (born September 26, 1959 in the 8th arrondissement (Paris) ) is a French banker from the Oddo banking family and has been the sole head of the Parisian private banking house Oddo & Cie , founded in 1849 , today Oddo BHF, since 1995 .
Starting with a few months at the Collegium Augustinianum Gaesdonck boarding school near Kleve , Oddo was three times in Germany for his training: During his studies, an exchange semester was added at the University of Cologne , later a three-month internship at Deutsche Bank . Today he speaks fluent German .
In 1987, at the age of 28, he and his brother took over the management of the family-owned bank Oddo & Cie. In 1995 he became the sole director.
He is one of the 200 richest people in France and was best known in Germany through the takeover of the Frankfurt BHF-Bank in 2016, of which he subsequently became CEO.
