Phillip Schäfer (* 1930 ; † January 2011 in Ludwigshafen am Rhein ) was a German world traveler who walked from Ludwigshafen to India.

The short film And Sundays Eating with Mother Theresa describes biographically the life of Phillip, an enterprising Palatinate who walked from Ludwigshafen via Austria, Yugoslavia, Turkey and Afghanistan in three years to India after the Second World War, where he found his great love India spent 40 years of his life.

The film was shown in role 3 at the Bermuda Shorts Film Festival 2012 in Mannheim . The authors were Martina Weickel and Vika Jagucanskyte from Mannheim. According to their information, Phillipp Schäfer lost his language skills one day after the filming was finished and died soon afterwards. In the 14-minute interview, Phillip Schäfer tells a few anecdotes from his life. So the Nobel Peace Prize laureate Mother Teresa came regularly to eat.
