Philosophical Dictionary (Schmidt-Gessmann)

The Philosophical Dictionary was founded by Heinrich Schmidt . The lexicon is published by Alfred Kröner Verlag . The first edition was published in 1912 (106 pages). It was completely revised in the 10th edition in 1943 by Werner Schingnitz during the National Socialist era . In 1948 the 10th edition of Schingnitz in the Soviet zone of occupation was placed on the list of literature to be sorted out. After the founding of the Federal Republic in West Germany , it received another fundamental revision from the 14th edition of 1957 by Georgi Schischkoff . The current 23rd edition from 2009 was edited as a revision by Martin Gessmann .
