The Phlegrean Islands ( Italian Isole Flegrean ) are a group of islands in the Gulf of Naples . It includes the islands of Ischia with Castello Aragonese , Procida , Vivara and Nisida .

The name is derived from the Phlegraean Fields , the geological region whose volcanic activity the islands owe their origin. Together with Capri , the islands are also grouped together as the Campanian Archipelago .
