Phoenix City Hall

The Phoenix City Hall , the City Hall, Phoenix (Arizona) .

Located in downtown Phoenix, the building has 20 floors and is 112 m high, making it the ninth tallest in the city. The postmodern style city hall was designed by the architect Langdon Wilson, who later also built the Sandra Day O'Connor United States Courthouse in Phoenix . After two years of construction in 1994, the Phoenix City Hall replaced the Old City Hall housed in the Calvin C. Goode Municipal Building as the seat of the city administration. The construction costs, including the neighboring parking garage, the plaza on 2nd Avenue and the renovation of the old town hall, amounted to 83 million US dollars.

After the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001, the north entrance of Phoenix City Hall was closed for a certain period of time.
