Phosphorists

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The phosphorists were the representatives of Swedish romanticism at the beginning of the 19th century. They were named after their newspaper Phosphoros (Greek for the " morning star ").

They mainly opposed French influences in literature and turned to German romanticism. The main representatives of the phosphorists were the poets Per Daniel Amadeus Atterbom and Carl Fredrik Dahlgren , the novelist Wilhelm Fredrik Palmblad ( Falkensvärd families , Aurora Königsmark ), and the playwright Lorenz Hammarsköld . Further representatives of the phosphorists were Johann Börjesson , Julia Kristina Nyberg , Anders Abraham Grafström and Samuel Hedborn .
