The Physiotherm GmbH is a manufacturer of infrared cabins for consumers, and for hotels, spas, health resorts and therapy centers, fitness and spa facilities. The Tyrolean company based in Thaur / Innsbruck is the market leader in Austria in the manufacture of infrared cabins. It has its own production of metal parts (such as infrared heaters) directly at the headquarters in Thaur and its own production of all wooden elements in Treuen / Saxony.

The Physiotherm Group includes companies in Austria, Germany, England, Italy, Switzerland and the Netherlands (the figures for sales and employees are the total of these companies).

In addition to the head office in Thaur, Physiotherm is represented by another 55 advice centers in Austria, Germany, Italy, Great Britain and Switzerland (as of February 2013).

Physiotherm has been the main sponsor of Thomas Diethart , ÖSV ski jumper, since December 2013 .

history

The company was founded in 1995 by Luis Schwarzenberger after a serious skiing accident. The accompanying regeneration with the help of infrared was the cornerstone of Physiotherm infrared cabins.

In 1996 there were three employees at Physiotherm, in February 2013 a total of 210 employees worked in the company. The company is also trying to grow further in Germany.

The shower manufacturer Manufactur Neher , Manufactur für Glas & Spiegel GmbH since 2005, was acquired in October 2013. Up to this point it was owned by the listed Upper Austrian water treatment company BWT AG .
