Pia Solèr

Pia Solèr (born 1971 in Vrin ) is a Swiss writer .

biography

After completing an apprenticeship as a retailer, Pia Solèr worked in a music store on the alp in summer and went traveling in winter. In the Rhaeto-Romanic film "Levzas Petras" - Bittere Lips (1994) she played the leading female role.

In her autobiographical book Die Weite seine (2011) she describes her life as an alpine woman . The book was created at the suggestion of the German publisher Rainer Weiss, who also published the book. He had read the NZZ report On the Challenge of Tending Sheep and the Distance to the World , in which Solèr was portrayed. The book received numerous positive reviews, including a. in the NZZ, SRF, Südostschweiz and the Aviva online magazine for women. The paperback edition was published by Diana Verlag in 2013.

Solèr has two siblings and lives in Vrin, Vanescha and on Alp Scharboda.
