Pickering is an impact crater on the front of the moon, southeast of Sinus Medii , northeast of Horrocks (moon crater) and northwest of Saunder . The crater is bowl-shaped with a flat bottom and hardly eroded.

The crater was officially named by the IAU in 1935 after the brothers Edward Charles and William Henry Pickering , both American astronomers.
