Picocassette

Picocassette is a magnetic tape cassette format from 1985 by Dictaphone in collaboration with JVC . It is about half the size of the micro cassette and was designed for particularly handy dictation machines . With a tape speed of 9 mm / s, each Picocassette could store up to 60 minutes of analog audio, 30 minutes per side. The signal-to-noise ratio was given as 35  dB . The longest dimension of the picocassette is close to 4.2 cm. It is considered to be the smallest analogue tape - sound carrier . Your later competitor, the NT cassette from Sony records digitally.
