Pieksämäki (administrative community)

The administrative community Pieksämäki ( Finnish Pieksämäen Sub-regions of Finland ) is one of three administrative Communities ( Sub-regions of Finland ) the Finnish landscape Savo . It includes the following four cities and municipalities:

On January 1, 2004, the places Jäppilä , Pieksämä maalaiskunta and Virtasalmi were merged to form the rural community Pieksänmaa . Three years later, on January 1, 2007, Pieksänmaa was also incorporated, this time into the town of Pieksämäki , which became the only municipality in the administrative community . At the beginning of 2009, the three municipalities Joroinen, Juva and Rantasalmi changed from the dissolved administrative community Juva to the administrative community Pieksämäki.
