Life

With Mario Castellacci , Luciano Cirri and Piero Palumbo, Pingitore was one of the founders of the “Bagaglino” cabaret in 1965 (the additional “r”, which makes the homage to Anton Giulio Bragaglia even clearer, had to be deleted due to lawsuits) 1973 after great success on stage also on television with the show Dove sta Zazà? and numerous follow-up programs found an enthusiastic audience. As early as 1968, Pingitore had produced a documentary film about the protests of European youth in 1968; From 1975 he regularly presented works based on his own scripts, in which he had been using actors accompanying him since the days of cabaret (and above all Pippo Franco ), and until 1983 found enthusiastic viewers here too. The comedy Gole ruggenti followed around ten years later . After another seven year hiatus, a new phase began in Pingitore's work, who now regularly directed television films that were still seen by a broad public. In 1999 he dealt with Tre stelle for the first time serious topics, the overthrow of fascism. His last work to date, Vita da paparazzo , hit the headlines in 2008 when Aïché Nana, who was also portrayed in the film, complained about the way she was portrayed . All of Pingitores work has not been shown in German-speaking countries.

His book publication Memoria del Bagaglino was awarded the Premio Acqui Storia in 2013 .
