Pierre-Alexandre Wille
Pierre-Alexandre Wille (born July 19, 1748 in Paris , † after 1821 there ) was a French painter.
Life
Pierre-Alexandre Wille was a son of the artist Jean-Georges Wille . From 1761 to 1763 he was trained by Jean-Baptiste Greuze , later he continued his studies with Joseph-Marie Vien . In 1774 he was accepted at the Académie Royale. He specialized in genre scenes in his paintings, but also created pictures of political content that were engraved in copper by his father. After the French Revolution , it was rather quiet about will.
Works
Wille's works include the depiction of the last minutes of a beloved woman, which is in the city museum in Cambrai . There are also works of Willes in the castle of Blérancourt and possibly also in the Musée Carnavalet in Paris. Other works by Wille can be found in the Louvre , the Wallraf-Richartz Museum in Cologne , the Hermitage in St. Petersburg and numerous other museums.
