Pierre Joffroy

Pierre Joffroy (* 1929 in Lorraine ) is a French writer , dramaturge and journalist for Paris Match , Liberation and L'Express . He currently lives in Paris .

Joffroy published many novels, plays and reports in France .

The writer Joffroy studied the biography of Kurt Gerstein for 30 years . He followed the traces of his life. A book emerged from his research (Der Spion Gottes Kurt Gerstein - an SS officer in the resistance?), Which describes the fate of Kurt Gerstein on the one hand and the author's decades of search for traces on the other.

In an interview with Deutschlandfunk, he made his opinion known that today he considers Kurt Gerstein to be "one of the most important people of the Second World War".
