Pierre Kipré

Pierre Kipré (* 1945 ) is an Ivorian diplomat, historian and writer. He was the Ivorian ambassador to France until the end of 2010 .

In 1987 he received the Noma Prize for African Literature for his book “Villes de Côte d'Ivoire (1893–1940)” .

Kipré sided with Laurent Gbagbo during the government crisis in Ivory Coast 2010/2011 .
