Pierre Mellina (born February 25, 1957 in Petingen ( Luxembourg Péiteng , French Pétange )) is a Luxembourg politician ( CSV ) and former athlete .

Private

Pierre Mellina is the brother of Mathis Mellina († September 6, 2019). Both were successful as track and field athletes in the late 1970s and early 1980s.

Political activity

In 1991 he became a member of the Chrëschtlech Sozial Vollekspartei (Christian Social Party), CSV. He from 1994 to 1999 Member of Peitenger council from 2000 to 2004 alderman ( Luxembourgish : Schäffen , French : échevin ) and since 2004 Mayor of Pétange.
