Pierre Sánchez
Pierre Sánchez (* 1964 ) is a Swiss ancient historian .
Life
Pierre Sánchez received his doctorate in ancient history from the University of Geneva with a dissertation on the amphictyony of Delphis under Adalberto Giovannini . He did research at the Universities of Berkeley and Oxford . He teaches as a professor at the University of Geneva. His main research interests are Greek cities in the Hellenistic kingdoms, Roman imperialism, international relations, the treaties of alliance, the functioning of the judiciary and the processes in Rome.
