Pierre Tranchand
Pierre Tranchand ( pseudonym : Pica) (born January 21, 1953 in Saint-Étienne ) is a French comic artist.
Tranchand published his first drawings in Spirou magazine in 1974 . In 1979 he began a collaboration with François Corteggiani with the series Chafouin et Baluchon , in which two cats travel through world history. A year later they started the series Bastos and Zakusky (Bastos et Zakousky). In addition, they created the pirate daughter Mandarine (Marine) , the western Funny Smith & Wesson (Smith et Weston) , the commercial comics Les Gum's and Super Poulain , the gag series Magic School Abracadabra (L´École Abracadabra) and the One Shots La créature des ténèbres and Monster Motel .
Under his pseudonym Pica, Tranchand created the series Les Prof's in particular . Other titles under this pseudonym were, together with copywriter Gilbert Bouchard , the series Les Babyfoots and Croco & Fastefoude .
