Mandarin (comic)

Mandarine (French: Marine ) is a comic by Pierre Tranchand (drawings) and François Corteggiani (text), which was published by comicplus + between 1989 and 1993 .

The comic, which belongs to the Funny genre, is about the pirate daughter Mandarine, who experiences various adventures with her dog Pepito and befriended sailors. With her smartness and her ability as a ventriloquist , she survives various adventures.

Short stories

The original French version of the comic was published in 1979 in the Pif Gadget magazine . A total of 36 short stories and 2 one-sided gags were created for Pif Gadget . The short stories were also published in five albums from 2003 onwards, with the stories being newly colored. Seven of the short stories appeared in German in Yps magazine under the title Alix, the pirate's daughter .

The following short stories were printed in the following Pif Gadget magazines, with the seven stories printed in Yps being assigned at the same time. If the assignment was (still) unsaved, a question mark was set.

Long stories

In 1984 the series was started again in the French-language original with album-length stories. The stories were preprinted in the Journal de Mickey , later in Hello Bédé . The first album-long story, The Legacy of the Black Tower , was also published by Ehapa in the Lila Gorilla Comics series . In addition to the German edition, there was also a Dutch edition of the series.
