Pierre Xercavins

Pierre Xercavins (born September 26, 1926 , † December 29, 2008 ) was a French civil engineer.

Xercavins studied from 1946 at the École Polytechnique . From 1950 he worked for Eugène Freyssinet's STUP and was technical director of the subsidiary Europe Etudes, which was founded in 1961.

From 1997 to 2008 he was President of the Association Eugéne Freyssinet.

His projects included bridges and the Olympic Sports Complex in Montreal, as well as the Ekofisk , Frigg and Ninian offshore platforms .

In 1977 he founded his own engineering office, PX Consultants, which in 2000 became PX DAM Consultants.

In 1990 he received the Albert Caquot Prize and in 1970 the fip medal .
