Philipp Köhn (born April 2, 1998 in Dinslaken ) is a Swiss - German football goalkeeper . He is under contract with FC Wil as a loan player from FC Red Bull Salzburg . Köhn initially played for German junior national teams , and is currently the Swiss U21 national goalkeeper .
Career

Köhn started his career at SuS 09 Dinslaken . The former striker then played for MSV Duisburg between 2005 and 2007 . In 2007 he joined the youth team at FC Schalke 04 , where he played until 2013. For the 2013/14 season he moved to VfB Stuttgart . In November 2013 he played against Karlsruher SC for the first time for the B-Juniors of Stuttgart in the Bundesliga . In the 2014/15 season he was runner-up with Stuttgart's B-youth team after losing the championship final against Borussia Dortmund .
In August 2015, Köhn made his debut against Eintracht Frankfurt for the Stuttgart U-19 team in the A-Juniors Bundesliga . For the 2017/18 season he moved to RB Leipzig , where he received a four-year contract. In that season, however, he was not a single time in the Leipzig matchday squad.
As a result, Köhn moved to the Austrian Bundesliga club FC Red Bull Salzburg in July 2018 , with whom he received a contract that ran until May 2022. First, however, he played for the farm team FC Liefering in the 2nd league , for which he was used for the first time in September 2018 against SKU Amstetten . By the end of the season he came to twelve appearances in the 2nd division.
After a season without a match, he was loaned to the second division FC Wil in Switzerland for the 2020/21 season.
National team
Köhn played for the German U-15 national team for the first time against South Korea in November 2012 . He then played for the U-16s , the U-17 national team and the U-18 national team of Germany until 2015 .
In August 2016, Köhn made his debut against Slovakia for the Swiss U-19 team . In August 2017 he played against Poland for the first time for Switzerland's U-20 team . On March 22, 2019, he stood between the posts for the Swiss U21 national team for the first time in the 4-1 win in the friendly against Croatia in Kriens .

Koehn was the son of a father from Germany and a mother from the Swiss Lausanne in North Rhine-Westphalia Dinslaken born.
