Fabian Rohner (born August 17, 1998 in Zurich ) is a Swiss football player .

Career

Fabian Rohner started playing football at the SV Höngg neighborhood club . At the age of ten, he switched to the FC Zurich youth academy in the city center at the beginning of 2009 . Due to his size, he had to go through the levels U-15 and U-16 twice before he caught up with his teammates again and with them became U-18 Swiss champions. His coach at that time was the former Swiss international Ludovic Magnin , who has been the head coach of the first team since February 2018.

On January 5, 2017, Rohner signed his first professional contract with FC Zurich, which is valid until summer 2020.

National team

Fabian Rohner went through various levels of the Swiss junior national team. He is currently a national player for the Swiss U-21 national team . He made his debut on March 27, 2018 in the qualifier for the 2019 U-21 European Football Championship against Portugal .
