Pieter Feith

Pieter Feith (born February 9, 1945 in Rotterdam ) is a Dutch diplomat and was the International Civilian Representative for Kosovo and Special Representative of the European Union in Kosovo from 2008 to 2011 . In 2005/2006 he was head of the EU's Aceh Monitoring Mission .

Life

Pieter Feith studied political science at the University of Lausanne . He is also a graduate (1970) of the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy in Medford, Massachusetts .

criticism

The situation in Western Sudan, in the crisis region of Darfur , was assessed on August 9, 2004 by Pieter Feith, who at that time was Deputy Director for Foreign and Security Affairs of the European Union in Brussels, after his trip to Sudan : “We don't have a genocide situation there ”.
